QA Test Engineer
As the QA Test Engineer you'll be the heart and soul of the software development process. You will gain respect by holding the bar high, carrying the standard, and being the champion for the level of quality throughout the projects. You'll provide the critical input for the final “go / no-go” call to ship the products. The key to your success early on will be your ability to communicate, learn quickly, track every relevant detail, and report clearly and succinctly. In BLStream you'll develop your QA skills - not only in black-box testing, but also in learning and using test automation and other testing techniques in everyday work.
Responsibilities:
- Software testing
- Creating test plans, test scripts and test scenarios
- Operating test tools (e.g. automated test tools, log analyzers) facilitating tests execution
- Test results analysis, comparison and documentation in bug tracking systems
- Preparing and maintaining the testing environment
- Cooperation with the software development team
- Participating in project sprint planning, execution, testing and releases on Scrum methodology
Required Skills:
- Understanding of software development and testing methodologies (white box and black box testing, regression testing, load/stress testing)
- Experience with Unix platforms, hands-on knowledge of Windows platforms
- Developing effective testing plans and test scripts (in Python)
- Good written and spoken English
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships with others and an attention to detail
Desired skills:
- Hands-on network/system administration experience
- Experience in performance testing and benchmarking of new applications including web applications
